POCO has officially launched it’s much awaited its flagship series latest version POCO F7 5g in India for the price of Rs31,999 (Rs. 29,999 with bank offers). Does it justify the price? Let’s look at what it has to offer.
POCO has been always known for its performance oriented phones, and this time it is no different. The POCO F7 5g packs a powerful punch, a powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 octa-core processor clocks up to 3.21 GHz, with Adreno 825 GPU and an additional Qualcomm Hexagon NPU Al Engine. It has a LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for faster loading and data transfer with two storage variants 12/256GB and 12/516
This powerful processor in the POCO F7 is cooled by 6000mm² 3D dual channel IceLoop cooling system and powered by a massive 6500 mAh Silicon-Carbon battery. The Phone also comes with 90W hyper charger in the box. The POCO F7 also supports up to 22.5W reverse charging to any device.
The POCO F7 comes in Three colours – Silver, White, and Black. The design looks stunning with more rounded corners from its previous generations. With 1.5k 120Hz AMOLED 6.8 inch Display on the POCO F7, looks very sharp, vivid and smooth. It also has a peak bright of about 3200 nits. For media consumption the display is also Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ certified and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The display also comes with a Wet Touch display 2.0, allowing users to use the phone seamlessly with water droplets on the display.
The duel stereo Speakers on the POCO F7 is Dolby Atmos certified, so media consumption experience should be excellent.
POCO F7 is powered by Xiaomi HyperOS 2, and guarantees 4 years of Software updates and 6 years of Security updates.
The phone also comes with all the connectivity protocols, all the 5g bands, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0. The phone is compatible with both GPS L1+L5 and NavIC L5.
The rear main camera has a 50 mp Sony IMX882 sensor and a 8mp Ultra-wide camera. The main camera features usual photo modes with some extra like Motion Tracking Focus mode, Motion Capture mode, Burst mode, etc. In video rear camera can do max of 4k 60fps, and also a slow-motion video capture upto 1080p 960fps. In the front it has a 20mp camera and do a maximum of 1080p at 60fps.
Some other Features of POCO f7 are In-Screen Fingerprint sensor, NFC, IR blaster, X-axis linear vibration motor, IP68 water and dust resistance etc.
Overall specs are too good for the price, although there have been cases of motherboard failures in POCO phones in the past, not a single case has been observed in the last 2 generations.
